Get your Chinese visa in advance, or enjoy visa exemption if eligible, and enjoy your visit to Tianjin and Beijing!

Under the recent policy, visitors from eligible countries can enter China for business, tourism, family visits, or transit for up to 30 days without a visa. China will extend its visa-free entry policy for 45 countries, including Australia, France, Germany and Sweden, to December 31, 2026.

As the exhibition date is approaching, please evaluate the traveller's eligibility status to use the 240-hour visa-free travel option, or leave enough time for a visa application.

Several important notes regarding the policy:

1. The traveller must transit through mainland China to go to a third country in order to apply for the 240-policy, and must purchased ticket to both China and the third country before the trip.

2. Although implied as 240 hours, there's a possibility for the border authority to issue a stay permit for less than 10 days for a variety of reasons. However, one can apply for a one-time extension stay permit during the valid stay period.

3. Check with your flight company to see if their policy allow depart without a visa as it varies from company to company.

4. Not all cities and airports are eligible for accepting travellers using the policy, only the listed cities and regions will, which include most major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, etc. Make sure the flight goes to the right airport.

5. If travellor's passport expires in 3 months, it may also result in denial of entry.

6. For travellers overstaying the permitted period, a daily fine would apply.
